La Lumiere is a coeducational boarding and day college-preparatory high school founded in the Catholic tradition.
It is situated on a beautiful rural estate in northwest Indiana, 25 miles west of South Bend, Indiana, 60 miles east of Chicago, Illinois, and 8 miles from both La Porte, Indiana and New Buffalo, Michigan. At the center of its 144 rolling acres is a picturesque country lake fed by natural springs.
For almost a half-century, La Lumiere School has provided a comprehensive college-preparatory education for qualified young men and women from a rich diversity of backgrounds. Current enrollment is over 200 students. The school is governed by a Board of Trustees chosen from dedicated parents and alumni. It seeks to develop character, scholarship, and faith, while remaining both independently accredited and faithful to its Catholic heritage.
La Lumiere School is accredited by Independent Schools Association of the Central States (ISACS) and the North Central Association (NCA) and is a member of the Catholic Boarding Schools Association (CBSA), the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS), the Midwest Boarding Schools Association (MWBS), and The Association of Boarding Schools (TABS).
