La Lumiere’s Head of School Adam Kronk announced that two seniors, Isaac Fielder and Lauren Jaracz, have been named Commended Students in the 2022 National Merit Scholarship Program. There are about 34,000 Commended Students being recognized throughout the nation for their academic achievements.

Commended Students placed among the top 50,000 students who entered the 2022 competition by taking the 2020 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT).

“We’re proud of Isaac and Lauren not only for this enormous accomplishment but also who they are as servant leaders in our community,” Head of School Adam Kronk said.

Although Commended Students do not continue in the process for the 2022 competition for National Merit Scholarship awards, it is important to recognize the exceptional academic feat by these two La Lumiere seniors—placing among the top 50,000 from the 1.5 million entrants.
