“We thought we could walk away from La Lumiere unmoved by the thought of leaving the place and people that had been our lives for four years. When the time came, it wasn’t so easy. We thought it would be easy to leave the place we loved. It was the hardest thing we had ever done. But as we go, the tradition will stay. Though we will take something invaluable and special that no other seniors can take – our memories and part of La Lumiere – it is still sad to think that in no way can La Lumiere miss us as much as we will miss La Lumiere.”

Jim Linnen & John Daly, 1977 Yearbook

  • La Lumiere established the 1963 Society to recognize special benefactors—those who make commitments to the future of La Lumiere through their bequests and other estate planned gifts.

Planned gifts, no matter the size, have the power to impact La Lumiere for generations to come. Planned gifts provide essential funding that allows La Lumiere to maintain its programs and facilities for the future, while creating a legacy for its most loyal supporters. Thoughtfully planned, the following gifts may provide important personal benefits for you and your family while also providing support to La Lumiere in perpetuity.
